journal your christmas
here comes two more pages from my journal your christmas album...
i am just loving the journaling on both pages - so im going to type it here too so you can read it...
Something about this Christmas was rejuvenating. It just made me feel young again. It could have been all the games we played with the kids – we got a new one called Quelf, where part of the game was doing goofy things on your turn! Or it could have been the new game madlib that we got – I remember doing madlibs when I was a kid! But I think if I had to pick just one moment – I would have to say it was opening presents at Auntie Marci’s house… Dan and I didn’t exchange gifts this year – we wanted to be able to get you kids presents and didn’t have any $ left over after that…. My mom and dad gave us our Christmas present early – in the form of a new VAN!! So I really didn’t have anything to open on Christmas day. But when we got to Auntie Marci’s house she had tons of gifts wrapped for you kids AND she had a huge pile of gifts for me! I thought I was over the fun of unwrapping presents – that I was too old and it was more fun to watch the kids opening their presents. But as I was opening present after present after present – I remembered what it was like to be a kid – the anticipation… the surprise… the fun!! It’s nice to feel young again!! Thank you Wrpci for doing that for me! I love you!

journal your christmas
Tomorrow we go back to the hustle and bustle and the old routine. The kids will go back to school, Dan back to work, and me and Binnie will go back to cleaning the house, reading books and having tea parties. So today I am going to reflect on our Christmas vacation. The best part of the vacation was definitely having dad home! Dad was home from 5pm on the 21st of December until early this morning… so our whole entire family was together for a full two weeks! This has never happened before – never! How nice to just spend two weeks together! Without any place to go or anything that we “had” to do! I loved this time and I will treasure it always! Something else I really enjoyed was listening to my kids GETTING ALONG! Now, there was plenty of fighting and arguing over the Christmas break – but there was also some incredible moments of peacefulness and bliss… where I would be in the other room and I would hear Daniel actually talking to Mason and the two of them getting along and playing together, or when Arden was actually having a discussion with Daniel – or how about all the times we found Sam and Brynn together in the shower goofing off! What a great time!! I will always cherish this Christmas! The Christmas of 2007.

but the left half of the page talks about our new years traditions and the right page talks about 2008 resolutions - notice how i stamped my happy new year a tiny bit crooked - LAST YEAR i would have obsessed about it until i finally started over and re-did it all - THIS YEAR - i am learning how to relax - so im relaxing and rolling with it - see ....... not obsessing at all - not even a little bit - man it's just crooked ........ cant you tell - isnt it bugging you???
national championship game!!!
the big game is coming!!! ohio state - currently ranked #1 in the nation!!!!! yahoo!!!! will be playing in the national championship game monday night at 7pm!!! we are soo excited!!! kids wore their red ohio state shirts to school today - me and brynn have ours on too!!!
we're all going to wear OSU stuff everyday until the game!!! GO BUCKS!!!!!!

today i worked on another page for my journal your christmas album - this one was fun!!! it was a list of numbers to sum up 2007......
3 broken bones
5 themed birthday parties
1 freshman orientation attended
81 days spent together on summer vacation
it was fun to remember everything that happened in 2007
movie night!!!!
here are all the dvd's we got for Christmas!!!! wow!! i dont think we are going to need to rent a movie a while!!!!
on a sidenote - if you havent seen the new national treasure movie that is in the theater right now - you should go immediately - i mean drop everything and go now!!! it is soo good!!!
