sam's first football practice in full gear

sam was pretty excited today for football practice!! he got to wear his helmet and pads for the first time!!!
we put on the pants and he was like - oh yeah!!!

then the pads and he was still excited....... then the shoes and the helmet and the mouth guard and he was like - mom i cant move..... i dont like this!!! poor kid!!! here he is all decked out.......

here he is making his first tackle - he even stripped the ball from the other guy when he was spinning him around!!! looks like there might be some potential here!!!

and here he is carrying the ball for the first time in full gear...... he got past the defender!!! go sam!!!

end of practice

by the end of practice sam was just dying!!! he took a really hard hit........ and stayed down for quite a long time!!! when he got up he looked at me and said - "mom! somebody from my own team hit me!!!" - he was soo surprised - like wait a minute - arent you supposed to be on 'my' team??

he was soo hot and sooo exhausted!!! i took him straight to get ice cream....... that helped!!! ALOT!!!

camp Kysoc

the three oldest kids are at camp this week. i dropped them off yesterday (sunday) and they stay until friday!!! they sleep in bunkbeds in cabins, and the cabins are arranged in villages... they will canoe and fish and swim and hike and do the high ropes course. it looked so fun that me and the two little ones wanted to stay!!!
