the crazy camel

then we went to feed the giraffes... but the zoo keepers never came - so while we were waiting sam started pulling a stick along the fence and making noise...... he would walk clear down one side the walkway and then walk all the way back - soon a camel started following him and then sam started running and the camel started chasing him down the fence line - the camel was acting soo funny and he looked sooo crazy!!! i think it ended up being one of our favorite things of the day!!!

the sea lions

then we went to see the sea lion show - it was great!!! the exhibit was incredible!!! there was an underground viewing area and a place for shows with a really nice amphitheather seating area for us to watch

a trip to the zoo

the kids didnt have school tuesday - so we took off to the zoo!! we hadnt seen the new sea lion exhibit ....so we knew that was one thing we didnt want to miss!!! on our way there we went to see the orangatans...... all three of them were out and they were really playful!!! swinging and running all over the place... and while we were in there looking at them two zoo workers came out and let us pet a hedgehog or woodchog like daniel used to call them when he was little and a big snake......

Arden named MVP

tonight we went to a banquet where arden was named MVP - most valuable peer in spencer county - i had to give a speech introducing her and then they brought her up on stage and unveiled her poster! there will be 100 of the posters posted all over town!

the cul de sac kids

we have been so busy with everything since school started... arden's cheerleading and band, daniel's soccer and drumline, mason's football, and sam and brynn's soccer - whew! it's alot to do!!! and it keeps us hopin'!!! that's what really makes this pic special - the neighborhood kids were all so excited to see each other today....... they stood like this forever catching up on what was going on in each other's lives........

more of mason's football

mason's really struggling this year in football........ he's in 6th grade but playing on the 7th grade team cause he's soo dang good ...... however - the 7th grade team wont play him cause he's low man on the totem pole and the 6th grade team wont play him because he's on the 7th grade team...... so the poor kid feels lost and like he doesnt have a spot at all......poor kid
