this is the day that it was 'officially' winter for the coopers... up until then we were still in denial...... but once we drug out the snowpants, boots and hats and gloves - it was officially winter!!

brynn made her own Christmas presents this year.... she made turtle candies!!! you take a mini-pretzel, unwrap a rolo (from the pretty metallic wrapper) and place it on top, heat that up in the oven for five minutes and then press the melted rolo down with a pecan. they are sooo good!! and soo easy to make!! brynn was very very proud of her gifts!!

something we are grateful for

one of our Christmas presents from friends of our family was a "peppermint pig". it was a pig shaped peppermint candy that came with a hammer and a bag... each family member was to take turns stating something they were grateful for and then give the pig a firm tap.... in the end we all shared in eating the pieces of the peppermint pig!! man was it good!!! so what we are grateful for is good friends and a great family!!
